Welcome to the Inland Volleyball Officials Association Home Page!

The goal of this site is to provide our members and local area coaches and administration with up to date information on rules, mechanics, interpretations, clinics and other areas where they can improve the quality of officiating offered to the high schools and colleges in the Inland Empire and surrounding areas.

Select one of the categories to the side or visit other websites and pages shown below.

Cancer Awareness Month

October is cancer awareness month. We will be seeing a lot of pink (and not the musical group). You are encouraged to wear a pink whistle all during the month of October (this is not a requirement and you do not have to use a pink whistle). Pink shirts, however, are NOT the norm and should only be worn if supplied by the school or requested of you by the school when they have certain "pink" events. Do not take it upon yourself to wear a pink shirt all the time.

Additionally, schools will be allowed to play with pink volleyballs at these special events that would normally not be considered legal under NFHS rules (which require at least 1/3 of the ball be white). They do not need special permission to do so, however, they must still be legal balls in all other aspects (have the NFHS logo, etc.).

Mid-Season Meeting

The mid-season meeting is at Canyon Springs High School (Theater). Everyone must attend one of the two meetings. The meeting dates are October 15, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and October 17 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. If you fail to attend one of these meetings you will not be eligible to work any playoff assignments AND you will receive a limited schedule next season (the equivalent of a C4 schedule). Having a match does NOT excuse you from attending one of these required meetings.

News and Information

Banning varsity and Pacific JV have illegal uniforms and they should be penalized at the start of each match. There is a possibility that they have received their new uniforms and the penalty would not be required. Check the numbers to insure that they are the correct size and that there is a number present on both the front and back of the uniforms.

IVOA Pay and RefPay

The following schools are utilizing IVOA Pay:

Beaumont Calvary Chapel Murrieta Centennial Cornerstone Christian
Elsinore Loma Linda Academy King Norco
Murrieta Valley Notre Dame Nuview Bridge Paloma Valley
Sherman Tahquitz Vista Murrieta West Valley

The following schools are utilizing RefPay:

Bloomington Chaparral Great Oak Heritage
La Sierra Linfield Christian Miller Norte Vista
Perris Temecula Valley Temescal Canyon

If you have a match at a school not on one of the above lists and they indicate that they are using IVOA Pay or RefPay, please contact Larry Clark as soon as possible.

Scoring Forms and Instructions

The scoring forms (score sheets and libero tracking sheets) are now up to date with the current logos and necessary boxes, etc. Please see the Forms page. Also, the match dialog, final score sheet, final libero tracking sheet and the step-by-step PowerPoint presentation for the Napili vs. Central match are present there for your use. The Bay vs. Marathon match documents are now available for your review.
